That's one of the big advantages to buying those types of car parts, but another is that they are much less expensive than OEM automobile parts. This is touched on within the last paragraph about OEM parts, but after-market auto parts are usually 50% or even more less than the initial manufacturer's vehicle parts.
With that said, it is really up to the individual and the problem when the automobile is being repaired. Many people choose OEM auto parts just because they are the safest kind of parts to go with, but quarrels for third-party vehicle parts are because they're much cheaper are definitely more accessible.
